Stewart James has been recognized as one of the
greatest creative forces in magic. He originated
hundreds of tricks, most published in magazine and
books or released as marketed items.

From what we understand so far, Jureina (Russell
Jury), was a popular Canadian magician at the turn of

weeks in Montreal, 4 weeks in Toronto, 3 weeks in
Winnipeg and 3 weeks in Vancouver.
The photos we have of Jureina as a child indicate they
were taken in Charlottetown P.E.I..
We are currently working with Gerald to get more
information about this unique performer and as
information becomes available, I will update this
listing. Perle, (Jureina's sister) understood that Jureina
went on the road in his mid 20's when he died with the
bad flu of 1919 (during the plague). There was a scrap
book with press clippings and Theatre owner letters of
thanks which has gone missing.***
